Also, she talked about expansion in IITs. The Finance Minister said the number of students in 23 IITs has increased by 100% in the last 10 years. In such a situation, "Additional infrastructure will be created for 6,500 students in the 5 IITs created after the year 2014. The Finance Minister also said that the hostels and basic facilities will also be expanded in IIT Patna so that the students there can be comfortable. Along with this, 5 National Centers of Excellence will be established for skill development.

She announced in her budget speech that broadband connectivity will also be extended to all government secondary and primary schools. Along with expanding the IITs, the Finance Minister has also announced seats in medical colleges. According to Nirmala Sitharaman, the target is to increase 75,000 more medical seats in medical colleges across the country in the next five years, while 10 thousand seats will be increased next year. At the same time, at present, 1,12,112 seats are given to the students. Now due to the increase in the number of seats, medical students will be greatly benefited.
