Clothes are not coming due to road closure
Fruits and vegetables are supplied in abundance in other states. Not only this but other businesses are being greatly affected. Traders selling readymade clothes in the district bring clothes from Ludhiana. But now due to the closure of the road, they are not able to bring clothes from there.
Pankaj Kukkad, director of Ishwar Readymade Showroom, says that all the goods come from Delhi and Ludhiana. But now the Delhi route is also affected. The roads to Punjab have been closed. In such a situation, most of the traders and shopkeepers are not able to go to Punjab and bring clothes. His business has been affected by this. At the same time, the customer is also not getting the clothes on time.
Due to the closure of the Punjab route, goods are being stopped till Himachal and Kashmir.
Traders of the vegetable market say that due to the blockade on the main routes of Punjab, the goods are being affected in Punjab as well as in Himachal and Kashmir. Vegetables and fruits come from Punjab in vegetable markets. There are supplies there also.
Apart from this, fruits come from Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir. But the administration closed the main roads. There has been a hindrance in the arrival of goods from other states. The fruits and vegetables are being procured from rural roads. They are becoming expensive due to high rent.
These routes of Punjab are affected
52 buses of roadways have been affected due to the sealing of the Punjab border. Among these, buses from Sardulgarh, Mansa, Patra, Patiala, and Chandigarh are also closed. Apart from this, buses going to Jammu and Himachal are also closed. Not only this, but buses are also running through rural roads on the Ratia route. People are demanding that buses be run directly on the Ratia route.
The blockade on the dyeing drain should be removed immediately. The routes of Punjab are currently closed. Along with Chandigarh via Patiala, the Via Kaithal Ambala route is also closed. Buses are being run on the Ratia route through rural roads. Buses will run on the Punjab route only after government orders.
