Forbes Philanthropy List: Gautam Adani is among the top three philanthropists in Asia, these Indians also did a lot of charity

Gautam Adani, who is included in the list of the world's richest businessmen, is also not far behind in the matter of philanthropy. Gautam Adani's name has been included in the top three in the 16th edition of the list of Asian philanthropists published by Forbes. Apart from them, the names of Shiv Nadar of HCL Technologies, and Ashok Soota of Happiest Minds Technologies are included in this list. This list of top donors in Asia was released on Tuesday.

 

Adani Group chief Gautam Adani finds a place in this list after donating Rs 60,000 crore on the occasion of his 60th birthday in June last year. By declaring such a huge amount to be spent for charity, he became India's biggest philanthropist. This amount is to be spent on health, education, and skill development. This amount will be spent by the Adani family foundation, which was established in the year 1996.

 

 

Gautam Adani, 60, is the founder of the Adani Group. This group is the largest port operator in India. The group is involved in the business of infrastructure, consumer goods, power generation and transmission, and real estate. There has been a big increase in the wealth of Gautam Adani in the year 2022. He was also the second-richest industrialist in the world for some time. The second Indian name in this list is that of Shiv Nadar. During the last few decades, he has spent a major part of his wealth on philanthropic work through the Shiv Nadar Foundation. This year too, he has donated around Rs 11,600 crore to the Shiv Nadar Foundation, which he founded in 1994. Its objective was to create an equitable and merit-based society by empowering people through education.
