The country's leading industrialist Ratan Tata passed away on Wednesday night. Who is Noel Tata

 

Noel Tata is Ratan Tata's cousin. Ratan Tata's father Naval Tata had two marriages. Naval Tata first married Sooni Tata, from whom he had two sons Ratan Tata and Jimmy Tata. After divorce from Sooni Tata, Naval Tata married a Swiss businesswoman Simone for the second time in the year 1955. Noel Tata is the son of Naval Tata and Simone Tata.

 

According to media reports, Noel Tata is a trustee on the boards of Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Sir Dorabji Tata Trust. Noel Tata is the chairman of Tata Group companies such as Tata International Limited, Voltas Limited, and Tata Investment Corporation Limited, as well as vice-chairman of Titan Company.

 

Can take over the command of Tata Group after Ratan Tata

 

63-year-old Noel Naval is the chairman of Tata Trent. He is also the managing director of Tata International and vice-chairman of Titan Company. Noel is likely to be included as a director on the board of Tata Sons. During 2010-2011, Noel Tata was expected to be made the managing director of Tata International and there was speculation that he was set to be made the successor of Ratan Tata. However, in the year 2011, his brother-in-law Cyrus Mistry was declared the successor of Ratan Tata.

 

Noel Tata is married to Aalu Mistry, daughter of Pallonji Mistry, the largest single shareholder in Tata Sons, and father of Cyrus Mistry. The couple has three children, including Leah Tata, Maya Tata, and Neville Tata. Noel Tata's daughter Leah Tata is also making her mark in the Tata Group. She completed her master's degree in marketing at the prestigious IE Business School in Spain and is currently working with the Tata Group. Leah began her professional journey as an Assistant Sales Manager at Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces in 2006. Over the years, she has risen in the ranks and currently serves as the Manager of Development and Expansion at Taj Hotels.
