He was examined and then Dr. Atul Mathur, director of the cardiology department, underwent an emergency coronary angioplasty of Kapil Dev at midnight. " Angioplasty is the process of opening blocked arteries to allow normal blood circulation to the heart.
The hospital said, "Kapil Dev is presently admitted in the ICU and is under intense supervision of Dr. Atul Mathur and his team. His condition is now stable and he may be discharged in the next few days."
