Four accused arrested for firing and arson at the residence of former Union Minister Salman Khurshid

Police have arrested four accused in connection with the case of arson and firing in the house of former Law Minister Salman Khurshid located in Satkhol area of ​​Ramgarh block. Illegal pistols and magazines were also recovered from the accused. The arrested accused have confessed to the crime. The police are now raiding in search of the main accused in the case.

 

According to police, BJP workers burnt an effigy outside his cottage on November 14 in protest against the book written by former Law Minister Salman Khurshid. During this, the caretaker of Salman Khurshid had also accused BJP workers of arson and firing. After receiving the complaint in the case, the police had registered a case against 20 people. Simultaneously, under the leadership of Bhowali CO Bhupendra Singh Dhoni, three teams were formed and started the search for the accused.

 

On Thursday, Mukteshwar police station president Mohammad Asif Khan was raiding the area along with other policemen. Meanwhile, he got information about the accused being seen in front of the Fish Village located on Ramgarh Road. After the information, Mukteshwar police station and Bhawali Kotwal Ashok Kumar arrested four accused along with the police team. When the accused were searched, 32 bore illegal pistols and empty magazines were also recovered from them. The arrested accused Chandan Singh Lodhiyal told that he had gone to Salman Khurshid's kothi under the leadership of Kundan Singh Chilwal of Reetha.

 

In a fit of rage during the protest, he opened fire. He was going to the lawyer after the case was filed and the video went viral. Kotwal Ashok Kumar Singh said that Chandan Singh Lodhiyal son Harendra Singh, resident of Nathuakhan, Umesh Mehta son Ganga Singh Mehta, resident of Supi Mukteshwar, Krishna Singh Bisht son Shankar Singh Bisht, Rajkumar Mehta son Ganga Singh Mehta have been arrested. The accused will be produced before the court after medical examination.

 

The warrant will be issued if the main accused are not caught

 

The police have arrested the four accused who carried out the arson on Salman Khurshid's Kothi, but the main accused in the case are still out of the grip of the police. In the case, DIG Nilesh Anand Bhare says that the police are actively searching for the accused in the area. Soon the main accused in the case will also be arrested. If the accused are not caught, a warrant will be issued against them.
