The command of G-20 has come into the hands of India. This responsibility will remain with India for the next year. 80 percent of the global GDP is concentrated in these 20 countries. More than half of the world's population also lives in these countries. The extent of these countries based on economics and population is enough to understand the relevance of this group. This group is capable of playing an important role in determining global policies.

The presidency of the G-20 does not officially confer any additional power, but the country concerned can influence the G-20 agenda. India can also include some such topics in the agenda of the G-20.

This is an opportunity for India to be a global leader by strongly advocating for solutions to some of the most pressing challenges facing humanity today.

G-20 has two tracks. First, the Finance Track is headed by the finance ministers and central bank governors of the member countries. Second, the Sherpa Track, in which the envoys of heads of state take charge.

Apart from these, there are also 10 engagement groups, which strengthen relations in different areas.
