Corona threat in the country and the world: 11 new cases of Omicron sub-variant were found in the country; WHO said- XBB.1.5 now spread in 29 countries

With the increase in the cases of corona in China, the danger of spreading the infection is also looming in countries like India, Pakistan, and America. Meanwhile, 11 new cases of Omicron's sub-variant have been found in travelers coming from abroad in India. On the other hand, Ajit Kumar Mohanty, Special Secretary, Health Department of Odisha, says that the fourth wave of Corona may come to India in March.

 

Meanwhile, the World Health Organization ie WHO has issued a warning regarding the XBB.1.5 variant. According to WHO doctor Maria Van Kerkhove, this variant has been found in 29 countries. He told that this variant is spreading rapidly and is replacing the old variants. Due to this, the risk of many waves of corona coming into the world has increased.

 

Continuous testing is being done at the airport Officials told that people coming from abroad are being tested continuously at the airport. From December 24 to January 3, 19,227 passengers from outside were tested, out of which 124 were found to be Corona positive. Genome sequencing of these people was done, so the sub-variant of Omicron has been confirmed in 11 of them. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has urged the citizens to be vigilant and follow the instructions issued by the government.

 

4 new cases of Omicron sub-variant BF.7 in West Bengal

A health official said on Wednesday that four new cases of Omicron sub-variant BF.7 have been found in West Bengal. These people had recently returned from America. Three of the four people belong to the same family and are natives of the Nadia district, while one person hails from Bihar but currently lives in Kolkata. Testing of 33 people who came in contact with them has been done. At present, the condition of all four patients is stable.

Many countries of the world have imposed restrictions on travelers from China. These include Malaysia, Qatar, Belgium, Australia, Canada, Morocco, France, the UK, Spain, the USA, Japan, Israel, India, Italy, and South Korea. On this, the Chinese government has alleged that these countries are targeting its passengers. Responding to this, America said that the restrictions on those coming from China have been imposed only after thinking from a scientific point of view.

 

South Korea: Corona-infected person missing from China

A corona-infected person who came from China has gone missing in South Korea. Actually, after coming from China, his test report came positive, after which he was advised to remain isolated. The patient was taken to a hotel in Seoul, from where he disappeared.

 

Officials say that the patient has been included in the wanted list. He may be sentenced to one year for violating the Corona Protocol or may have to pay a fine of 6.5 lakhs. South Korea recently made testing mandatory for travelers from China.

 

Pakistan: Children of 5 to 12 years will get the vaccine

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has made vaccination against Corona necessary for children aged 5 to 12 years. In a meeting regarding the Corona situation, Sharif instructed to screen passengers at border points and airports as well.

 

Germany: Doctor jailed for not wearing a mask

A German female doctor has been jailed for 2 years and 9 months for advising more than 4,000 people not to wear masks during the pandemic. During the hearing, the lady doctor argued that wearing masks was harmful to people's health. The court has imposed a three-year work ban on female doctors. Along with this, a fine of $ 29 thousand 550 will also be charged.

 

So far 15 countries have banned travelers from China

Passengers arriving from China include Malaysia, Qatar, Belgium, Australia, Canada, Morocco, France, the UK, Spain, the USA, Japan, Israel, India, Italy, and South Korea. Taiwan has also made Covid testing compulsory for those coming from China. Pakistan and the Philippines are also monitoring. New Zealand has refused to impose any sanctions.

 

More than 66 crores 68 lakh cases in the world

According to the Corona world meter, so far 66 crores and 68 lahks 64 thousand 479 cases have been reported in the world. On 11 January 2020, a 61-year-old man died in Wuhan, China. This was the first death due to corona in the world. After this, the process of death started increasing. So far 67 lahks 4 thousand 181 deaths have taken place.
