Germany will change visa rules: Indians will get more opportunities, hope bound between job cuts in America

Germany, the world's 5th largest economy, is looking for skilled migrants. The German government is all set to open its doors to skilled professionals who can contribute to the development of the country. In this direction, in the last week of November, a draft has been prepared to improve the immigration rules for skilled workers from other countries including India.

 

The draft law reduces the minimum eight-year residency requirement in Germany to five years for immigrants to be granted citizenship. Immigrants are happy with the new draft law reforming visa rules. Most Indians came to Germany after the Europeans

According to the Institute for Employment Research, Germany needs at least 4 lakh skilled professionals per year. Last year 1.9 million people came to Germany from other countries. Of these, 1.6 million were from EU countries. This means about 3 lakh people came from outside Europe. The people of India were in first place among them. The new law makes it easier to hold dual citizenship in Germany. In such a situation, there will be a good opportunity for IT-skilled Indians.

 

More jobs in IT due to large-scale digitization

Germany needs digitization, which creates job opportunities. There are schools with outdated computers, and workers dependent on fax machines. Germany was ranked 21st out of 28 EU countries in the 2020 EU Digital Economy and Society Index.
