The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced a change in rules for passengers traveling by air to India. According to the new rule, it is necessary to have the first and second names on the passport of the passenger. Failing which the visa will not be given to the passenger. This change has been implemented from 21 November.

The UAE has also issued instructions to trade partner Indigo Airlines in this regard. Passengers with the same name on their passport, who are going to travel on a visa for visiting or any other work, will not be allowed to go to and from the UAE. The name and surname of the passenger must be written on the passport.

Exemption for permanent visa holders

The UAE has also said that only permanent visa holders will be allowed to travel with single-name passports. Unless it has been updated before. For more details, people have been asked to visit goindigo.com.
