Google Layoffs: People fired from Google started a new venture; Seven people together formed a new company

A man who worked as a senior manager at Google was recently fired as part of the company's cost-cutting move. But instead of giving up, he decided to set up his own company. This man named Henry Kirk is also getting support from many other employees who were fired similarly.

Kirk, who worked at Google for eight years, was one of 12,000 employees who were laid off by the company. Mr. Kirk said he had given himself and his team six weeks to set up a design and development studio in New York and San Francisco.

He took to LinkedIn to share his story. Kirk intends to set up the company before the 60-day deadline for layoff notifications expires in March. He said, 'I have 52 days left. I need your help. I have always believed that hard work and results will take you far in life. While this event may cast doubt on that belief, it is my experience that these life challenges present unique opportunities. He said this in a LinkedIn post last week.

He added that six former Google employees are also joining him in this venture. Today I am leaping and turning this tragedy into an opportunity. I'm teaming up with 6 awesome #xooglers (Ex Googlers) to shape my future and be the boss. We are launching a design and development studio in New York and San Francisco. Yes, this is probably the worst time to do so. But it is exciting and challenging.

In their startup, they want to design and provide research tools for other companies' apps and websites, and engineering projects for organizations without the knowledge and support required by other startups. Kirk said, "Seven of Google's finest former employees have been laid off. They are eager to start a research, design, and development facility for ambitious software projects."
