He will come to New Delhi on an official two-day visit to India on January 25-26. He will also have bilateral talks with PM Narendra Modi. During this, some important agreements are also likely to be signed between the two countries.
First visit of the President of Indonesia to India
Subianto has been elected as the new President of Indonesia in October 2024. This will be his first visit to India. The Ministry of External Affairs said that India has a very historical relationship with Indonesia. Both countries have also given the status of a comprehensive strategic partnership to the relationship.
A defense agreement will be signed between India and Indonesia.
Indonesia is an important partner in India's Act East policy and Indo-Pacific region policy. PM Modi will talk with Subianto on all aspects of bilateral relations, and regional and global issues.
