Adelaide, Feb 15 (IANS) Internet giant Google latched onto the India-Pakistan World Cup fever Sunday, with a new colourful doodle on its home page.
Doodle is intended to celebrate holidays, events, achievements and people.
The current doodle was unveiled ahead of the crucial pool game for match at the Adelaide Oval which features two bowlers, two fielders and two batsmen clad in their respective national colours.
However, Google has only changed its home pages in India and Pakistan, the rest of the world will only see the normal google logo.
Fourteen teams are competing for the World Cup, including first-timers Afghanistan. The final of the mega event will be played March 29 in Melbourne.
A total of 49 matches will be played during the quadrennial event.
It would be interesting to see if Google will keep its current theme through the quadrennial event and puts on similar looking doodles for other big games too.
