Singer-turned-actor Guru Randhawa is all set to make his Punjabi debut with the musical love story film 'Shahkot'. Fans have been enjoying the magic of the singer's voice so far. However, now Guru is all set to spread the magic of his acting on the screen as well. Now recently, the singer spoke openly about the comparison between Bollywood and the Punjabi film industry. Let's know what he has to say.
Recently, in an interview, Guru was asked to compare Bollywood and Punjabi film industries and tell which industry he thinks is better. To this, he said, "I am better, and you can ask this question to people who compare because I don't compare things. I think comparison is the enemy of happiness. I am not going to compare anything."
Guru said if I worked in Bollywood, I would do it with all my heart and I would be grateful that I have worked here, but I am not dependent on Bollywood. He further said, "The same applies to Punjabi films. I consider myself lucky that I am working in it because I wanted to do something for my audience, something that is around me."
Talking about working in the film, Guru said that I had to do something that I had never done before, like a film, and give some new subjects, some new messages. This is the same as Mummy Achchi Hai or Daddy. Guru has made a mark with his voice in Punjabi music. He is known for his hit songs Lagdi Lahore Di, High Rated Gabru, Ishare Tere, Suit Suit, Dance Meri Rani, etc.
Talking about the work front, Guru will next be seen in the musical love story Shahkot. The film also stars Isha Talwar, Seema Kaushal, and Raj Babbar in important roles. It was directed by Rajiv Dhingra and produced by Anirudh Mohta.
