Allahabad High Court has rejected the petitions of the Sunni Central Waqf Board and Anjuman Arrangements Masjid Committee regarding the ownership dispute between Gyanvapi Masjid and Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi.
Allahabad High Court has given its verdict on the petition challenging the case filed in Varanasi in the year 1991 regarding the ownership of the Gyanvapi complex located in Varanasi. The much-awaited case was heard on the bench of Justice Rohit Ranjan Aggarwal.
In the case filed before the Varanasi court, it has been argued that the mosque is part of the temple. Anjuman Intejamia Masjid Committee and UP Sunni Central Waqf Board have filed an appeal in the High Court against the suit pending in a Varanasi court, saying the disputed site is prohibited by the Places of Worship Act.

In the Gyanvapi case, Allahabad High Court Bar Association President Ashok Kumar Singh said, "This decision is historic because all the parties have been told that the case should be disposed of in 6 months and the petitions have been rejected... If a If the party is aggrieved then the higher court is open for him."
