Orange alert in six districts of Kerala
The Indian National Ocean Information Service Center has advised fishermen and others in coastal areas to remain alert as high waves of 1.2 to 3.7 meters are likely to hit the coasts of Kerala by 8.30 pm on Friday.
On Thursday also, the Meteorological Department issued a red alert and a red alert in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts. Orange alert was issued in the remaining six districts.
16 people died in Maharashtra in five days
