The Allahabad High Court has dismissed the petition of Anjuman Intejamia Masajid Varanasi against the order of the Varanasi District Judge to conduct a scientific survey by ASI in the Gyanvapi campus. On behalf of Shailendra Yogiraj of Pratapgarh, a prayer has been filed in the court of Civil Judge (Senior Division) Shikha Yadav, seeking permission to worship the Shivling found in Gyanvapi campus as Adi Vishweshwar in the month of Sawan. Questioning the expenditure of the ASI survey, Anjuman Intejamia Masjid filed an application in the Allahabad High Court on Wednesday. Joint Secretary SM Yasin said that the ASI had applied in the district judge's court regarding the expenses of the survey. The reply was received that in this regard no fee has been deposited by the plaintiff i.e. the temple side.
