The observations made by the Supreme Court in the Gyanvapi case have increased the chances of the case reaching its logical conclusion, as it agreed to a large extent with the stand of the Varanasi District Court. No one can deny the fact that what is being called the Gyanvapi Masjid is a part of the Kashi Vishwanath temple. It is not only visible, but it has historical evidence as well. Such evidence has been given by the historians of the Mughal period themselves. Those who do not see or understand these proofs, should think that how can the name of a mosque be Gyanvapi?
Just as no proof is needed for this that the mosque was built after demolishing the temple in Kashi, similarly no evidence is needed in the case of mosques built in place of many other temples. Whether it is about the mosque built on the Krishna Janmasthan temple in Mathura or the Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque in Delhi. Even the inscription of the Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque says that it was built by demolishing 27 Hindu and Jain temples. Ignoring such irrefutable evidence is not going to work. In this case, there is no use even in resorting to the Dharmasthala Act made in 1991, because this law is not a stone line. It was created to cover up the disputes and it should be known to all that disputes are not resolved by hiding, but come to the surface continuously.
The Muslim society of India should not only accept the truth visible with open eyes but also refrain from considering cruel invaders like Ghori, Ghazni, Khilji, Babur, and Aurangzeb as their ancestors or inspiration. The Muslims of India did not come from Arabia, Afghanistan, Iran, etc. They were the people here whose ancestors were Hindus. Their ancestors indeed converted to Islam to escape persecution, and to save their lives or property, but this does not mean that they became the descendants of the invaders. Neither one's ancestors nor the culture change due to a change in the worship system. The best example of this is the Muslim society of Indonesia.
It would be appropriate that that section of the Muslim society should come forward and be vocal about its roots in India and that they are as Indian as the followers of other systems of worship. While it is necessary for them to accept the truth, the people of the Hindu community should also not do anything that would damage social harmony to lay claim to their temples in Kashi and Mathura.
