Gurgaon, Jan 8 (IANS) Senior AAP leader Yogendra Yadav Thursday said here that the state BJP government was retracting on the promises it made to people of Haryana before elections.
Yadav was leading a protest near Gurgaon Deputy Commissioner office against centre's land acquisition ordinance.
Prior to assembly elections in the state Oct 2014, party used to claim that the people will get power supplies 24X7 and that the party will bring transparency through good governance, he said.
Now, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has been saying that his government was not in a position to provide 24-hour electricity supply in the state, Yadav added.
Electricity supply in the rural sector has been reduced to 11 hours from 14 hours.
Yadav said: "It's a fraud on the people of the state. The government, which promised to give 24 hour electricity supply is actually reducing it after coming to power."
He said that his party strongly objects to the unceremonious shunting out of Gurgaon Division Commissioner Pradeep Kasni within just one month of his assuming charge.
Senior IAS officer Kasni had joined Nov 21.
Yadav said: "Going by their proven track record of harassing upright bureaucrats, the BJP government of Haryana has transferred Kasni after his report to the government (sent Dec 22) revealed how revenue officials of the Millennium City were hand-in-glove with land-grabbers.
The party demands that the officer be reinstated to his position and due action on his report submitted to the state government be taken, he said.
