Voting is being held today i.e. Saturday for the Haryana assembly elections. Voting is being held for 90 seats in all 22 districts in the state in a single phase. With this, the fate of 1031 candidates contesting in the state will be captured in EVMs. The maximum seven assembly seats are in Hisar district. At the same time, the least two seats are in the Panchkula and Charkhi Dadri districts.
According to the Election Commission, till 9 am, 9.53 percent of people have exercised their franchise. So far, the fastest pace of voting has been seen in Palwal district. So far 12.54 percent of people have cast their votes here. Apart from this, the slowest pace of voting was recorded in Gurugram. Here, only 6.10 percent of people had also cast their votes.
Competition between them
The main contest in Haryana is believed to be between BJP and Congress. The ruling BJP has fielded its candidates on all seats except Sirsa seat. In Sirsa, BJP has supported Gopal Kanda of Haryana Lokhit Party. On the other hand, Congress is also contesting elections in all areas except Bhiwani. In Bhiwani, Congress has supported CPI(M) which has fielded Om Prakash.
Apart from this, if we talk about other parties, they have also tried to make the contest interesting. Dushyant Chautala's Jannayak Janata Party, which became the kingmaker last time, has an alliance with MP Chandrashekhar Azad's Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram). Om Prakash Chautala's Indian National Lok Dal has an alliance with Mayawati's BSP. After things did not work out with Congress, Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party is also contesting on all 90 seats.
