Gurgaon, Feb 4 (IANS) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Wednesday said said that till now about 17,000 complaints were received at the chief minister's window that was set up Dec 25 last year to expeditiously redress the grievances of the masses.
He said that a call centre would be established for monitoring the complaints received at the CM window, and calls would be placed from there to the complainants to verify whether their grievances had been resolved or not.
He said that the concerned officers have been provided with one month's time to redress the grievances. The chief minister was addressing a press conference at Gurgaon, where he highlighted the achievements of last 100 days of his government.
He also said that 3,380 complaints had already been taken care off.
He reiterated his government's commitment with regard to providing a clean, transparent, and corruption-free administration and government for public welfare.
Listing the achievements of his government, Lal said that the number of cases the vigilance department had registered in the last 100 days was more than the number of cases registered during the last 10 years.
Presenting data, the chief minister said that the vigilance department pursued as many as 36 cases. In 15 cases, 27 officials were held guilty and an amount of Rs.14.44 lakh was recovered from them as penalty.
The department is presently looking into 23 new cases, including the Kaushalaya dam case of Panchkula, HCS recruitment scam, government land scam in NIT Faridabad and the MNREGA scam in Ambala.
Lal said that till now the state of Haryana was divided on caste lines but now they were running the government following the ideology of "Haryana Ek - Haryanavi Ek" (One Haryana - United Haryanavis).
