How did Atishi reach the CM's chair? Why did AAP's Saurabh Bhardwaj lag in the race? The reason came to light.

Despite becoming minister in the AAP government at the same time, Saurabh Bhardwaj lagged behind Atishi in the race for the post of CM. As a minister, Atishi became the Chief Minister in just one and a half years of tenure, while Saurabh could not even achieve the second position. Atishi's patience and soft-spoken nature kept pushing her ahead.

 

Looking back, Saurabh Bhardwaj has been lagging behind Atishi since the division of departments after becoming a minister in March 2023. His departments were reshuffled twice in three months.

 

Atishi's three departments are given to Bhardwaj.

 

In October 2023, the Water Ministry was taken away from him and given to Atishi (Atishi Marlena). Bhardwaj was given three of Atishi's departments, but all of them were less important than the Water Board - Tourism, Art and Culture Department.

 

Bhardwaj's stature was reduced then and only the Health Department was left with him among the important departments. Earlier on August 12, 2023, the LG approved the proposal of the AAP government, in which the Services and Vigilance departments were handed over to Atishi from Bhardwaj.

 

Important departments were given to Atishi.

 

On the other hand, Atishi always kept winning. In this episode, on June 30, 2024, Atishi was handed over to the Finance, Planning, and Revenue departments. These departments were being looked after by Kailash Gehlot at that time.

 

Her way of working with patience even in adverse circumstances is considered to be the main reason behind Atishi's continuous progress. The responsibility of five major departments of the government was also given to Atishi from other ministers.

 

Remember that Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj were included in the Delhi Cabinet in March 2023, when former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and former Health Minister Satyendra Jain resigned after going to jail.
