'8 to 10 crore devotees are present in Maha Kumbh, but the situation is under control'; CM Yogi made this appeal to the people.

After the stampede in the Mahakumbh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is constantly taking updates from the top officials present in the Kumbh Mela area. He has also appealed to the devotees to take a bath near the ghat they are near and avoid going towards Sangam Nose. He said that many ghats have been built for bathing which can be used. CM Yogi has asked to follow the instructions of the administration.

 

CM Yogi said - There is a huge crowd of devotees in Mahakumbh. About 8 to 10 crore devotees are present in Sangamnagari today. A day before the Amrit Snan of Mauni Amavasya, 5.5 crore devotees had taken a bath.

Crowd pressure towards Sangam Nose

 

On the stampede in the fair area, the Chief Minister said - There is a lot of pressure due to the devotees going to Sangam Nose. Some devotees have been seriously injured by jumping over the barricades on the Akhara Marg between 1 and 2 o'clock in the night. They were immediately taken to the hospital. Some devotees have been seriously injured. They are constantly under the supervision of doctors. At the same time, the administration is engaged in making the devotees take baths safely at the local level.

 

PM Modi is constantly making updates.

The Chief Minister said that PM Modi has taken information four times since morning for the safe bathing of the devotees in the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj and their arrangements. BJP President J.P. Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are also constantly taking information about the devotees since morning.

 

High-level meeting going on.

To ensure that the devotees can take a bath smoothly, a high-level meeting is going on with many senior officials including DGP and, the Principal Secretary. The situation in Prayagraj is currently under control but the pressure of the crowd is very high.

 

Saints will take a bath after the devotees.

The Chief Minister has spoken to the officials associated with the Akhada Parishad. At the request of the CM, the saints said, first the devotees would leave after taking a bath, and only then we go towards Sangam for bathing. All the Akharas agree to this.

 

Do not pay attention to rumors: CM Yogi.

The Chief Minister said, there is constant pressure on Sangam, Nagvasuki, and Akhada Marg. People are told not to pay attention to rumours. Be patient. This event is of the people. The administration is working to serve them. The government is ready to provide all kinds of support with strength. It is not necessary to come towards Sangam Nose. Temporary ghats have been built within a radius of 15-20 kilometers, bathe wherever you are."
