IMF Chief Economist said: India has the potential to become a $10 trillion economy, just these steps have to be taken

International Monetary Fund (IMF) Chief Economist Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas has praised the Indian economy. He said that the Indian economy is booming at a time when the world is facing the prospect of recession. He said that India has the potential to touch a USD 10 trillion economies. If some concrete steps are taken, then soon you will achieve your goal. He said that the emphasis will have to be on investment in education and health.

 

 

 

India has the potential to become a 10 trillion US dollar economy

Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas said that India has the potential to become a $10 trillion economy. He said I mean, we have seen many countries in the past grow very fast and grow fast too. He said that it is a bit difficult for many countries to become a USD 10 trillion economy but there is a huge potential for an economy like India. To do this, India needs to undertake several structural reforms.

The Chief Economist of the IMF said that India has to take some concrete steps to become a $10 trillion economy. He said that investments are happening here in buildings and roads, but if there is an investment in human resources, human capital, health, education, etc., then India will move forward rapidly.

 

India is doing better than many countries

Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas said that India is one of the largest economies. So, when it's growing at solid rates like 6.8 or 6.1, it's noticeable. In a picture where all other economies and advanced economies rarely grow at that pace, if India is still doing well, it is a good sign.
