The impact of the reforms made by the government in GST rates can be seen in the festive shopping. This rosy picture is seen in the report prepared on the basis of more than two lakh responses received from 44 thousand people in 319 cities across the country by Local Circles.
According to the survey, people will prefer online shopping and a record jump of 115 percent can be seen in it. This year, 37 percent of people can spend more than 20 thousand rupees in festivals. Last year, this figure was only 26 percent.
How many crores will be spent?
Due to the availability of goods on online platforms, the convenience of selecting, ease of return and refund, and fast delivery, more and more people are turning towards this. It is believed that due to the environment created by GST reforms, people can spend Rs 2.19 lakh crore on shopping this year.
This year, 18 percent more shopping is expected compared to 1.85 lakh crores of the last festive season. Sachin Tapdiya, founder of Local Circles, said that the year 2025 can be a unique festive season for consumers.
