The Indian ODI team will depart for Australia from Delhi on October 15th in two groups, and the final itinerary will depend on ticket availability and arrangements. India is scheduled to play a three-match ODI series and a five-match T20 series in Australia.
According to sources, one group will depart in the morning, while the next group will depart in the evening. This will depend on the availability of business class tickets for long-haul flights. Former captains Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and vice-captain Shreyas Iyer will join the Test team members in Delhi before the team's departure.
The tour will begin on October 19th.
The team will depart from here for Perth, where the first ODI is scheduled for October 19th. If ongoing domestic or international matches end early, the players in the ODI squad may have a short break to return home.
In a major decision, the selectors have appointed Shubman Gill as the captain of the ODI team, replacing Rohit Sharma. Virat and Rohit remain part of the team. Meanwhile, head coach Gautam Gambhir has invited the entire team for dinner at his residence in Rajendra Nagar.
