The Indian team entered the final of the ODI World Cup after 12 years. The Rohit Sharma-led Indian team defeated New Zealand by 70 runs in the first semi-final of the World Cup 2023 on Wednesday.

 

In the high voltage match played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, India batted first and scored 397 runs losing 4 wickets in 50 overs. In reply, New Zealand was all out for 327 runs in 48.5 overs. 3) Shreyas Iyer - Shreyas Iyer became the solution to the puzzle of a number of the Indian team. Scored back-to-back centuries in the World Cup. Iyer had spread disappointment in the Kiwi camp with his attractive stroke style. He scored 105 runs in just 70 balls with the help of four fours and eight sixes. 4) Shubhman Gill - The Indian team's young opener Shubhman Gill also quenched the thirst of entertaining the audience with his runs amidst the heat of Mumbai. KL Rahul gave the finishing touch to the first Indian innings and scored an unbeaten 39 runs in 20 balls with the help of five fours and two sixes.
