In the game of cricket, fans just wait for the day when the teams of India and Pakistan (India Vs Pakistan) are on the field and a high-voltage match is seen between the two. The craze of the India-Pak match is something different.
On 23 February 2025, the India and Pakistan teams will clash in the Champions Trophy 2025 (ICC Champions Trophy 2025) at Dubai International Stadium. Before this great match, Babar Azam, one of the best batsmen in the world, has revealed his strategy. Let's find out what Babar said.
What did Babar Azam say before the Ind vs Pak match in the Champions Trophy?
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is going to start today i.e. 19 February. The first match is to be played between Pakistan and New Zealand. This is Pakistan's first ICC tournament on home soil after the year 1996.
The last time the Champions Trophy was held was 8 years ago i.e. in 2017, when Pakistan won the trophy for the first time by defeating India. Babar Azam was part of Pakistan's Champions Trophy team in 2017 and this time too Babar Azam is part of the team in the tournament.
Meanwhile, before the great match between India and Pakistan, Babar Azam said that as a player I am very excited, and all the fans were excited.
Babar further said,
"A lot has changed since the Champions Trophy was organized in 2017. We have new players coming, we only have three or four players who were part of that winning team. But the belief, the confidence has not changed"
He also said that a lot has changed. There is no pressure on anything. What happened in the past is beyond us. We have discussed our mistakes and we have worked on them. When you have a responsibility as a senior player in any team and the team shows faith in you, then I take it positively. As for Pakistan's planning, they are planning to make the most of the home conditions. Their mission is to take on New Zealand in Karachi in the tournament opener and end their group stage against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi.
On the other hand, regarding the big match against India on February 23, Babar said,
"When you play at home you get that advantage because you know the conditions. You know how the pitch will behave in both the first and second (innings), but still you have to play good cricket because all the other teams are among the best. Hosting the tournament means a lot."
