IND vs WI: Gill won his first test series as captain, eliminated West Indies, and Jadeja player of the series

India defeated West Indies by seven wickets in the second test played in Delhi. India achieved the target of 121 runs for victory by losing three wickets. The match went till the fifth day. India started Tuesday at 63 runs for one wicket and lost the wickets of Sai Sudarshan (39 runs) and captain Shubman Gill (13). KL Rahul scored the 20th half-century of his Test career and remained unbeaten on 58 runs with the help of six fours and two sixes. Dhruv Jurel remained unbeaten after scoring six runs. India won the first test by an innings and 140 runs.

 

 

In its first innings, India declared the innings after scoring 518 runs for five wickets. In reply, the West Indies' first innings was reduced to 248 runs. Then India was ahead by 270 runs. In such a situation, India decided to follow on, and in response, the West Indies team scored 390 runs. West Indies' total lead was 120 runs, and India had a target of 121 runs, which Team India achieved by losing three wickets.

 

 

Gill's first test series win as captain.

This is Shubman Gill's first Test series win as captain. Gill became the Test captain in the last series against England. However, that series ended in a 2-2 draw. Now Gill has started his captaincy career with a bang. They started by defeating the West Indies 2-0. Ravindra Jadeja became the Player of the Series, while Kuldeep Yadav was adjudged Player of the Match. India now has to play a two-match Test series against South Africa in November.

 

 

India's first innings

India declared the first innings after scoring 518 runs for five wickets. Indian batsmen also performed brilliantly in this match, and after Yashasvi Jaiswal, captain Shubman Gill also scored a century. Gill remained unbeaten after scoring 129 runs in the first innings. The maximum runs in the first innings were scored by Yashasvi, who returned to the pavilion after scoring 175 runs. Nitish could not score a half-century and was out after scoring 43 runs. Jurel was also close to scoring a half-century, but was out after scoring 44 runs. Whereas, KL Rahul played an inning of 38 runs and SAI Sudarshan played an inning of 87 runs. West Indies first innings

West Indies' first innings was reduced to 248 runs. The West Indies team lost the last six wickets while scoring 108 runs. Kuldeep Yadav bowled lethally and took five wickets. This was the fifth five-wicket haul of his Test career. On Sunday, Kuldeep gave the first three blows to the West Indies. He sent Shai Hope (36), Tevin Imlak (21), and Justin Greaves (17) to the pavilion. After this, Siraj clean bowled Jomel Warrican.

Tevlin Imlak scored 12 runs, and Warrican scored three runs. Anderson Phillip was out after scoring two runs. Kheri Pyare could not open the account.
