India got more time to help Afghanistan: Pakistan extends permission to use the Wagah border route by 2 months, Indian transportation will be easy

After the Taliban occupation of Afghanistan, there has been a starvation-like situation. In this trouble, India is sending wheat and medicines to Afghanistan as human help. For this, it was using Pakistan's Wagah Border Route. On the 21st of last month, the permission for Pakistan to use this route expired.

 

Now the new government of Pakistan has permitted India to use this route again for two months. The Indian government had recently appealed to Pakistan to allow this route to be used for the transportation of 50,000 tonnes of wheat and essential medicines.

 

Modalities for India will remain the same

 

Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said- To overcome the Afghanistan crisis, we have decided to extend the Indian transportation facility by two months. All its modalities will be the same as we're told to India earlier. The Indian High Commissioner has been informed about this.

 

India had promised to send help

 

India had promised 50,000 tonnes of wheat to Afghanistan last year. To accomplish this, 2 months ago, the first consignment of 2500 tonnes of wheat to Afghanistan was dispatched via Pakistan via the Attari-Wagah border.

 

Help goes to Afghanistan via Pakistan

 

India had announced to send 50 thousand tonnes of wheat, medicines, and medical equipment in October 2021 on the appeal of the US and UN. For this, help was sought from Pakistan, because these goods are being sent through trucks from the Attari-Wagah border first to Pakistan and then to Afghanistan.

 

It has three advantages. First - expenses are coming down. Second- Quick and easy shipping of goods. Third- It is easy to reach this help to the Afghan people.
