Before the election of the BJP President, an important meeting was held at his residence under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the organizational elections, in which Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP General Secretary BL Santosh were present. The process of election of the party president is expected to start in a week.

 

According to party sources, the names of the presidents of Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, and Madhya Pradesh were considered in the meeting last Wednesday. The election of the National President of BJP was also to be completed by February 2025, but it got delayed due to elections in some states including Haryana. Party sources say that the process of electing the BJP President will be started anytime after April 20. The names of half a dozen state presidents will be announced in the next two to three days.
