The fifth and decisive T20 match between India and England will be played on 20 March (Saturday) at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. The five-match series is still 2–2 on par and the team that wins this match will capture the series. In the fifth match, Team India can opt for Shikhar Dhawan or Ishaan Kishan in the playing eleven by dropping KL Rahul out of the flop. Meanwhile, former England captain Michael Vaughan has advised Team India to play Ishaan Kishan as an opener in place of Rahul.

Michael Vaughan while talking to Cricbuzz said, 'KL Rahul will not play, Simple. You cannot see it as a bad game and who is your best player at this minute, who has absolute clarity and confidence. Ishaan Kishan should open. For me, KL Rahul will not be out of the team forever, but at the moment he is not playing with that confidence, he is struggling with his form, then Ishaan Kishan should come with Rohit Sharma to open. Ishaan Kishan made a fiery half-century in his debut inning, batting stormy in the second T20 match.

KL Rahul has been battling continuously for runs in this T20 series so far and he has not been able to open an account in two matches. In the innings played so far, the Karnataka batsman has scored just 15 runs. Rahul's performance has been spectacular in the last few years and he also scored the most runs in IPL 2020. In the fourth T20 match of the series, India defeated England by 8 runs in a thrilling match. Suryakumar Yadav scored 57 runs for the team while Shardul Thakur took three wickets.
