IND vs WI T20I Series 2023: The West Indies team, which performed brilliantly in the first two matches, fell on their face in the third T20 International match. The Caribbean team suffered a 7-wicket defeat at the hands of India in a one-sided match. The West Indies bowlers did not have a run in front of Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma and Team India achieved the target with 13 balls to spare. Caribbean captain Rovman Powell has blamed the defeat on the batsmen.
Powell told the reason for the defeat
After the defeat in the third T20 match, the Caribbean captain said, "We scored 10 to 15 runs less. However, as I said earlier, the credit goes to the batting team. We did not send Pooran at number three, because We wanted to give Johnson Charles a chance. We know what Pooran can do and the kind of form he is in. We bowled with more pace than was required and made it easy for the Indian batsmen to score runs."
Surya made a one-sided match
Suryakumar Yadav made the third T20 International match one-sided with his explosive batting. Batting in a stormy manner, Surya scored 83 runs in just 44 balls at a strike rate of 188. During this, the Indian batsman scored 10 fours and four sky-high sixes. Surya shared an 87-run partnership with Tilak Verma for the third wicket.
This partnership between Tilak and Suryakumar completely got West Indies out of the match. Tilak played an unbeaten inning of 49 runs in 37 balls with the help of 4 fours and a six. However, the Caribbean team is still ahead 2-1 in the five-match series.
