After the extradition of Tahawwur Rana to India, an old tweet of Prime Minister Modi from the year 2011 has gone viral. Actually, in that tweet, PM Modi had targeted the then UPA. Actually, at that time, America had freed Tahawwur Rana from the charges of Mumbai attack. On this, PM Modi had called it a failure of the government's foreign policy. Now that Tahawwur Rana's extradition to India has been successful, that old tweet of PM Modi is going viral.

What did PM Modi write in the tweet?

PM Modi had written in that tweet that 'America has declared Tahawwur Rana innocent in the Mumbai attack case. This is a shameful thing for India's sovereignty and it is a big blow to India's foreign policy.' Many users gave the credit of extraditing Tahawwur Rana to India to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is worth noting that after a long legal battle, a special team of NIA carrying Tahawwur Rana landed at Delhi's Palam Airport on Thursday. Tahawwur Rana was taken into custody as soon as he reached the airport. This is being described as a big diplomatic victory for India.

Political parties are competing to take credit.

After the extradition of Tahawwur Rana to India, political parties are competing to take credit for it. Congress says that the process of bringing Tahawwur Rana to India was started by the Congress-led UPA government and it was taken forward strategically. The NDA government did nothing in this matter and this is just the result of the process which was started by the UPA government.

At the same time, Union Home Minister Amit Shah called the extradition of Tahawwur Rana a victory of the diplomacy of the Modi government. He said that 'those who attacked India's honor, India's land and the people of India, the Modi government is bringing them to justice.' Amit Shah also targeted the former UPA government and said that the Mumbai attack took place during the UPA government, but they could not bring Tahawwur Rana to India.
