India-Germany Ties: Germany's Foreign Minister will hold important talks with Jaishankar on a two-day visit to India from today

Foreign Minister S. India's relations with China and the impact of Russia's attack on Ukraine will figure in the center of talks between Jaishankar and German Foreign Minister Annalena Bierbock on Monday. Beerbok is coming to India on a two-day visit on Monday. In a statement issued by the German Embassy, it has been said that Bierbok is coming to India at a time when the whole world is facing the impact of the Russian attack on Ukraine.

 

Many issues will be discussed

According to Germany's Federal Office in Berlin, cooperation in fuel transactions other than oil, coal, and gas will be discussed during Bierbock's first visit to India. In this context, Beerbok will focus on renewable energy projects in rural areas around New Delhi.

 

Will go to the office of the Election Commission of India

The German Foreign Minister will also visit the office of the Election Commission of India. She will also meet representatives of civil society and people from non-governmental organizations regarding women's rights.

 

The strategic alliance between Germany and India

According to Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi, there is a strategic alliance between Germany and India. During the visit of the German Foreign Minister to India, the two sides will discuss bilateral relations and regional and global issues of common interest. A spokesman for the Ministry of External Affairs said that India and Germany celebrated the 70th anniversary of their diplomatic relations in the year 2021. This year Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to Berlin to participate in the 6th Indo-German Inter-Governmental Conference. Apart from this, it participated in the meeting of G-7 countries as a participant country.
