32 airports of the country which were closed due to the recent military tension between India and Pakistan have once again been opened for civilian flights. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) gave this information by issuing a press release on Monday. AII has made a formal announcement to restore flight operations at these airports with immediate effect.

It is worth noting that due to the military clash between India and Pakistan, the operation of civilian flights from 32 airports located in the north and western parts of the country, including major airports like Srinagar and Amritsar, was temporarily suspended from 9 May to 15 May.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) and other aviation authorities had issued NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) informing about the temporary closure of these airports. Now, after getting signs of improvement in the situation, the process of reopening these airports has been started in a phased manner.

According to the notice of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), flights have started at all the 32 airports that were closed. These airports include Udhampur, Ambala, Amritsar, Avantipur, Bathinda, Bhuj, Bikaner, Chandigarh, Halwara, Hindon, Jammu and Jaisalmer, Jamnagar, Jodhpur, Kandla, Kangra (Gaggal), Keshod, Kishangarh, Kullu, Manali (Bhuntar), and Leh. Apart from this, operations have also been resumed in Ludhiana, Mundra, Nalia, Pathankot, Patiala, Porbandar, Rajkot (Hiraser), Sarsawa, Shimla, Srinagar, Thoise, and Uttarlai.
