There is every possibility of a political boil in Pakistan once again. It is being said that if it is possible very soon in the country, then general elections can be held in October. According to some reports, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chief and former President Asif Ali Zardari held a secret meeting with Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum, chief of the intelligence agency ISI in Dubai.
On the other hand, Imran Khan's spirits are high after forming the government in Punjab, the largest province of the country. On Wednesday, Khan said- Neutral (the army) should now come into action. We demand that the general elections be held as soon as possible. Otherwise, we will hit the streets again.
Zardari-Anjum's Dubai tour
Many journalists of Pakistan have given information about this on social media. According to Alia Shah, Zardari had gone to Dubai last week. His daughter Bakhtawar Bhutto lives here. To say that Zardari had gone to meet Bakhtawar, but the story behind it is something else.
The day Zardari reached Dubai, ISI Chief Nadeem Anjum also reached Dubai on a chartered flight. It is said that Zardari and Anjum met in a hotel. The army wants Zardari to persuade everyone to an early election.
It is important to know here that at present in Pakistan, 3 important faces are running the central government from behind the scenes. These are- Asif Ali Zardari, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman. The special thing is that all three parties are involved in the government, but they do not minister themselves.
Only politics behind this meeting
Recently, Imran's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won 15 out of 20 seats in the by-elections in the most important province of Punjab. The matter reached the Supreme Court. Supreme Court asks Prime Minister Hamza Shahbaz Sharif to resign. Parvez Elahi became the new CM. Imran is supporting them. Since this victory, Imran has been pressurizing the army, the central government, and the Election Commission to hold fresh elections.
The army is also seen bowing before Imran. This is the reason why Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa sent the ISI Chief to Dubai to meet Zardari so that the matter remains hidden. However, despite this, some journalists got to know about it. It is being talked about a lot on social media.
Why is Imran adamant about early elections?
The reason for this is also clearly political. No government can be formed in Pakistan without the support of the army. The role of the army was also behind bringing Imran to power and removing him. Now the army is telling itself neutral. Imran wants the army to help him and he should come to power again.
Khan's spirits are in seventh heaven after winning the Punjab by-elections. Another very big reason for this is that General Bajwa is retiring in November. Imran wants to make his favorite and close former ISI Chief General Faiz Hameed as Army Chief. This can happen only when Imran becomes Prime Minister again.
Khan and Bajwa were at loggerheads over the transfer of General Hameed to Peshawar. Imran wanted to stop it, while Bajwa was adamant about the transfer.
