Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by 246 runs in the second match of the two-match Test series. This defeat of Pakistan has benefited Sri Lanka as well as India in the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 points table. With this defeat in the second Test match played in Galle, Pakistan's team has slipped to fifth place in the table. Sri Lanka currently has 53.33 percent points in the points table.

Pakistan won the first match of the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka by 4 wickets. But in the second match, the team could not even touch the 300 mark in any single innings. Due to this defeat, Pakistan has also suffered a lot in the points table of the World Test Championship 2021-23. Pakistan's team has slipped to the fifth position with 51.85 percent points. India retained the fourth position with a score of 52.0%.

The road to the World Test Championship final is difficult for India

India has to play two Tests against Bangladesh and four Tests against Australia. If he wins all the Tests then his win percentage will be 68.05 percent. If this happens, he can reach the final. If they lose even one of these six Tests, their win percentage will be 62.05 percent. After that, they will have to depend on the results of the other teams. South Africa is at the top of the points table with 71.43 percent points and Australia is second with 70 points.
