IPL 2021: I was picked in the team only to play such innings- Chris Morris

Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Chris Morris, who played a key role in winning the match against Delhi Capitals, says that he knew that he was taken to play such innings in the team. Delhi gave Rajasthan a target of 148 runs. While chasing the target Rajasthan's innings was staggered but David Miller and Morris won the team winning the Atishi innings. Morris contributed an unbeaten 36 off 18 balls.

 

 

In the last match, Sanju Samson did not give a strike to Morris in the last over and the team lost. Morris said, "I would go on running no matter how many sacrifices I had to make because Samson was playing good innings. I wouldn't be sad if he hit a six on the last ball."

 

 

Morris was bought by Rajasthan in the players' auction for Rs 16.25 crore. Morris said, "There are many players who are taken into the team to score big hits and I know that I was taken in the team because of that. I have also played a lot of golf."

 

 

He said, "I am happy that we can win the match. It is pleasant to see that we can win even in a match where our initials have not been better. That is the beauty of T20 cricket."
