Lucknow Super Giants and its captain Rishabh Pant have suffered another setback after their defeat against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has fined the team members and Pant for slow over rate during the match. Pant has been fined Rs 30 lakh of match fee, while other players in the playing-11, including the impact player, have been fined Rs 12 lakh.
IPL said in a statement, that this was the team's third offense this season for slow over rate under the IPL Code of Conduct, due to which captain Pant has been fined Rs 30 lakh. Other players in the playing-11, including the impact player, will be fined Rs 12 lakh or 50 percent of their match fee, whichever is less.
RCB's thrilling win
RCB defeated Lucknow Super Giants by six wickets on the back of Virat Kohli's half-century and a century partnership between Jitesh Sharma and Mayank Agarwal. With this win, RCB reached Qualifier-1. Now it will face Punjab Kings in Mullanpur on 29 May. In the last match of the league stage played at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Tuesday, Lucknow scored 227 runs for the loss of three wickets based on Rishabh Pant's century. In reply, RCB scored 230 runs for the loss of four wickets in 18.4 overs and won the match. This is the third most successful run chase of IPL. At the same time, it is RCB's biggest run chase.

Pant, who was struggling to score runs this season, returned to form by scoring a century against RCB. He played a huge partnership of 152 runs with Mitchell Marsh for the second wicket. During this, Marsh scored 67 runs in 37 balls with the help of four fours and five sixes. At the same time, Pant completed the second century of his IPL career in 54 balls. He remained unbeaten after scoring 118 runs in 61 balls with the help of 11 fours and eight sixes.
