The third phase of lockdown is going on across the country from May 4, which will run till May 17. If you remember, on the instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Indian Railways has started several trains to take the migrant laborers trapped in different states to their home states. These special trains have been given the name of 'Shramik Special Train' by the Railways.
According to the Railway Ministry, the work of arranging 58 such special trains has been done till Monday. Here, it is coming out from the sources of the Railway Ministry that in the next few days, 300 more trains like this can be demanded, for which the railway has been fully geared up.
Railways can run 300 trains
If sources of the Railway Ministry are to be believed, only those who send and for this to reach, the governments of those states can talk to each other and ask for a train. Apart from migrant laborers in these trains, arrangements for sending students, refugees, tourists stranded in various states, can also be sought from the Railways.
Rental dispute
The political rhetoric in the name of collecting fares in trains continues from Monday. The opposition has accused the government that Air India brought millions of people stranded abroad to India for free, but money is being collected from poor laborers to go to the village. After this, the Railways made it clear that the rent is not being charged from the laborers but a standard fare is being charged from the state governments.
Shramik Special Train for a distance of more than 500 km
It has been clearly stated by the Indian Railways that Shramik will be only one destination of the special train. The train will not stop anywhere. Not only this, the Railways will also run the labor special train for a distance of more than 500 kilometers. The facility of seating 1000 to 1200 passengers in each such train will be done by the Railways.
Who can go through these trains
The central government decided to run labor trains to take migrant laborers, students, workers, tourists stranded due to the lockdown to their home state. These trains are being operated only for those who are stuck due to lockdown. For this, the local administration will have to give the application, details of the passengers after which permission will be given. These trains will be run at the request of the state government. Passengers will be allowed to board the train after screening.
Book tickets like this
If you want to go to your state, then workers can travel in special trains. For this, you have to first contact the local administration and apply, after which the list of the nodal officers there will be submitted to the railways. Only those who have been asked to reach the station will be chosen by the administration.
