Virat's centuries and average show how big a batsman he is and now when he enters his 100th Test, he would like to end his century drought. Australia's Ricky Ponting is the only player to score a century in both innings of his 100th Test, while England's Joe Root is the only player to score a double century in the 100th Test. Apart from Cowdrey, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Ricky Ponting, Graeme Smith, and Joe Root are among those players who were captains of their team as well as scoring centuries in their 100th Test. So far 11 Indians have played 100 Tests, but no Indian has been able to score a century in his 100th Test.
