The response from the World Health Organization (WHO) comes after China increased the number of corona virus deaths. The WHO has said that many countries can modify their death toll, like China, after controlling the corona virus infection. The WHO said on Friday that the infection spread very rapidly in Wuhan and it became difficult for the authorities to register every death and infection case. Authorities in Wuhan initially tried to cover up this transition. Physicians who were alerted online about this infection were punished and questions have been raised about the government for registering cases of infection as it has repeatedly changed its parameters of calculation.
Many countries will have to revise data
Maria Van Kerkhov, who is heading the WHO for technical matters related to Kovid-19, said, "It is challenging to identify every case and every death while the infection continues." He said at a virtual press conference here, 'I anticipate a similar situation will arise in many countries when they have to look back and review their records and see, did we recognize all the cases?'
WHO's clarification on China's amendment
He said that there was a lot of work pressure on the healthcare system in Wuhan, some patients died at home and others were in temporary centers. The medical staff was focused on treating the patients, so they did not do the paperwork on time. Michael Ryan, Director of Emergency Affairs at WHO, said, "All countries will face such a situation." But he appealed to the countries to provide accurate figures at the earliest.
Revision of data after criticism
In fact, China revised the death toll on Friday amid international criticism over the concealment of data on the Kovid-19 cases. China added 1,290 deaths in the city of Wuhan city, the origin of the corona virus, bringing the number of people killed by the corona virus to 4,632 in China.
Total corona cases in Wuhan now
In Wuhan, by April 16, the confirmed cases of corona virus had increased by 325, to 50,333 and the death toll was increased to 1,290. In this way, the death toll from Corona virus was confirmed to 3,869. According to the revised figures, the total number of deaths from Kovid-19 in China has increased to 4,632. The total number of cases also increased to 82,692.
Trump considers WHO to be China's advocate
Indeed, US President Donald Trump has been consistently accusing the World Health Organization (WHO) of favoring China over the corono virus crisis. Many are angry at Trump Global Health Agency WHO's attitude, which is why they stopped funding it in the past. The US provides four to five thousand dollars of financial aid annually to the WHO.
After Trump stopped the fund, he said, 'Did the WHO do its job of providing medical experts to assess the real situation in China and overcome China's lack of transparency? Its outbreak would have been very less and deaths would have been less. The death of thousands of people and the damage to the global economy could have been avoided. '
