On Thursday morning, several educational institutions in Bengaluru were raided by the Income Tax Department. The Income Tax Department has taken action in the morning on the offices and buildings of many private educational institutions in the city. According to news agency ANI, raids by the Income Tax (IT) department are still going on at several places connected with educational institutions in Karnataka on suspicion of tax evasion.

According to the information, the Income Tax Department has raided many other institutions including Shri Krishnadevaraya Education Institute, Rewa University, and Divyashree Sansthan. All of them were raided simultaneously on Thursday morning. The department had received information about tax evasion and irregularities against them. Further information is still awaited.
