On Sunday evening, only one name echoed in the R Premadasa Cricket Stadium in Colombo and that name was Mohammed Siraj. Siraj wreaked havoc on Sri Lanka's batting order in the final of Asia Cup 2023. In a spell of just 7 overs, Mian destroyed the batting order of the opposition team. After bowling the historic spell, Siraj did something after the match, which is being praised everywhere.

Siraj looted the gathering like this

Mohammed Siraj was chosen man of the match for the final of Asia Cup 2023 for his strong performance. When Siraj came to receive his award, he announced that he had gifted the award and the prize money to the groundsmen of Sri Lanka. For this generosity of Siraj, the Indian fast bowler is being praised everywhere.

Mian wreaked havoc

Mohammad Siraj bowled brilliantly and spent only 21 runs in his 7-over spell and showed the way to the pavilion to six Sri Lankan batsmen. Siraj became the first Indian and second bowler overall to take six wickets in the history of the Asia Cup. Earlier in the year 2008, Anjata Mendis had achieved the feat of taking six wickets in this tournament.

Biggest win in ODI

The Indian team tasted its biggest victory in ODI cricket in the final of Asia Cup 2023. Team India defeated Sri Lanka by 10 wickets with 263 balls remaining and won the Asia Cup title for the 8th time. With this, the Sri Lankan team was all out on its lowest score against India in ODI cricket. Five Sri Lankan batsmen returned to the pavilion without opening their account and the entire team was reduced to just 50 runs.
