The security of Kailash Vijayvargiya, BJP general secretary and party in-charge in West Bengal, has been increased. He already had Z-class security. Now they will get a bulletproof vehicle too. BJP President JP Nadda's convoy was attacked in West Bengal 4 days ago, in which Kailash Vijayvargiya was also injured. Since then, there was a demand for increasing the security of Vijayvargiya continuously. The BJP is blaming the Trinamool Congress for the attack.

Politics heats up in Bengal after Nadda's convoy

On 10 December, Nadda's convoy was attacked when he was going from Kolkata to Diamond Harbor in 24 Parganas district. Vijayvargiya was also injured in this. Diamond Harbor is the parliamentary constituency of Mamta's nephew Abhishek Banerjee. The protesters tried to block the path of Nadda's convoy.

On 11 December, Jagdeep Dhankar made serious allegations against the Mamta government. He said do not play with fire, you have to leave the debate about who is inside and who is external. What happened is unfortunate. The Chief Minister should follow the Constitution. She cannot step out of her responsibilities. Law and order in the state is continuously deteriorating.

Now central and state government face to face

On 12 December, the Home Ministry recalled three IPS officers posted in the state on deputation. It is said that these officers were responsible for the safety of Nadda.

Meanwhile, the Home Ministry summoned two top officials of the Bengal government on 14 December. Kalyan Banerjee, Trinamool Congress MP, wrote a letter to Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, calling the move a political vendetta. According to media reports, the officers of Bengal did not reach Delhi.
