London, Jan 28 (IANS) When it comes to making a glamorous entry, supermodel Kate Moss doesn't miss a chance. She arrived at a birthday party after splashing out 6,000 pounds on a private helicopter.
The model was cheered when she touched down at the Craigellachie Hotel in the Scottish Highlands with her husband Jamie Hince, celebrating nutritionist Rose Ferguson's birthday Sunday, while fellow guests Noel Gallagher, Nick Grimshaw and Sadie Frost headed to the venue on budget airline flights from London's Gatwick.
"Kate had been at a fashion show in Paris on Friday, so she was flown in on a private jet at the start of the weekend. It was the easiest way to get up there. But everyone else was coming from London so most of them just took EasyJet flights. Nobody had any airs and graces about it.
"When they saw Kate and Jamie Hince chopper in, everyone cheered, she really did arrive in style, even if the others didn't manage quite such a glamorous entrance," a source told mirror.co.uk.
Whilst Rose's guests could have saved money on their flights, they didn't hold back when drinking and some downed 3,000-pound bottles of Grants Whiskey until 10 in the morning.
Bobby Gillespie of Primal Scream acted as DJ at the bash and Frost, who couldn't get enough of the bagpipes, even persuaded the piper to let her have a go at the instrument.
"The whole lodge was taken over, but the gang still descended on the Copper Dog bar area downstairs.
"The party was raging until gone 10 a.m., and all the guests, not just Kate, got a bottle of the 3,000-pound whisky with their names embossed on it. A piper played 'Happy Birthday' to Rose," the source added.
