KKR vs CSK: Bomb threat received during high-voltage match at Eden Gardens, police investigation begins

The match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings at Eden Gardens on Wednesday was disrupted due to a bomb threat. Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) received a bomb threat through email.

 

This threatening message was found in the official email inbox of CAB, which was sent by an unknown person. Confirming the incident, CAB President Snehasish Ganguly said that an investigation has been started in the matter and all necessary security protocols have been activated.

 

CAB gave clarification

 

Snehasish Ganguly said, 'During the match, a message was received on the official email of CAB from an unknown ID. Police have started an investigation, and security has been increased in Eden Gardens.' After the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, national security was increased, but in the meantime, the bomb threat came. India responded to the Pahalgam terrorist attack through Operation Sindoor.

 

Under Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army on Wednesday destroyed terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and PoK.

 

CSK broke the losing streak

 

Let us tell you that Chennai Super Kings defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by two wickets with two balls to spare on Wednesday. With this, CSK dealt a big blow to KKR's hopes of reaching the playoffs.

 

Let us remind you that Kolkata Knight Riders batted first at Eden Gardens and scored 179 runs in 20 overs, losing 6 wickets. In reply, Chennai Super Kings achieved the target in 19.4 overs, losing 8 wickets. This was CSK's third win in 12 matches. It broke the losing streak of four consecutive defeats in the last four matches.
