PM Modi presented the "MANAV" vision at the AI Impact Leadership Summit 2026. Offering a new mantra on artificial intelligence (AI), PM Modi said that there are two types of people in the world: one type sees fear in AI, while the other type sees destiny in it.

Indians see destiny in it. Indian companies launched several AI models at the summit. Introducing the "MANAV" vision, PM Modi said it is an acronym representing five fundamental principles.

What is the MANAV vision?

The M stands for "Moral and Ethical System," meaning AI should be based on ethical guidance.

A stands for "Accountable Governance."

N stands for "National Sovereignty," meaning everyone has the right to own the data.

A stands for "Accessible and Inclusive," meaning AI should be multi-platform, not a monopoly.

V stands for "Valid and Legitimate."

The future will be determined by the direction we take with AI.

At the AI Impact Summit, PM Modi said that just like GPS shows us the way, the final decision on which direction to take is ours. The direction we take AI today will determine our future. Today, at the AI Impact Summit, I present the MANAV vision for AI.

MANAV vision means moral and ethical systems, accountable governance, and national sovereignty. Moral and ethical systems mean AI based on ethical guidance. Accountable governance means transparent rules. National sovereignty means whose data is theirs, accessible, and inclusive. AI will not be a monopoly but a multiplier, valid, legitimate, and lawful.

We must also have a big vision.

PM Modi said that today the journey from machine learning to machine learning is fast and extensive. We must have a big vision and shoulder the same responsibility. We also have to worry about what we will leave behind for the future generation.
