KKR captain's statement
Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer praised the team's efforts and said that everyone performed their responsibilities well. After the match, Shreyas said, "I am very happy." Everyone performed their responsibilities well. We were traveling from one state to another. We are not thinking about what happened before. We are just thinking about what we can do in today's match.
He further said, "I think all the players understood their responsibilities considering the opportunity and performed brilliantly. At one time we were conceding 9 runs per over, but then the way we came back was fantastic. The behavior of all the bowlers was that they had to take wickets on comeback, which is important.
Expect a blast in the final
Shreyas Iyer said that no one is taking his place in the KKR team lightly. He expressed hope that the team will give its best performance in the finals also. While talking about his 97-run unbeaten partnership with Venkatesh Iyer, the KKR captain said that he understood his Tamil language but was not able to speak it.
Iyer said, “When you have variations in bowling then there is no problem. Our bowlers are firm on their technique. Nobody took things lightly and hopefully, they will continue the same momentum in the final. Gurbaz came back and gave us a strong start. Sunil Narine is in form. We came and made sure we finished the match. We need to enjoy the moment.
